While it there is some free parking on campus, it is important to read all signs in and around lots. Be sure not to park in a lot that is restricted to permit holders 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (typically denoted by red/white signs).

The Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) is very aggressive about ticketing and towing. Ballroom at Maryland is not liable for any fees you may incur related to parking.

Parking at the Venue (Stamp Student Union)
  • Regents Garage, south of Shipley Field – some free, some paid
  • Union Lane Garage, next to Union – paid parking by the hour (flat rate on weekends)
  • Lot 1 or Z – free
Parking for On-Campus Housing
  • Courtyards guests – please park in visitor parking along the back of the complex
  • South Campus Commons guests – Lot U is open, lot 1 is also available but farther
  • North Campus Residence hall guests (Denton, Elkton, Easton, Ellicott, Hagerstown, La Plata, Cumberland, Centreville, Bel Air, Chestertown, Cambridge) – parking is available at the Comcast Center parking garage (accessible off of University Blvd); there are a few metered spots (which would be free after 10pm) around the dorms and by the Recreation Center
  • South Campus Suites guests – use Lot U by Commons or Lot C by the Armory
